INTRODUCING MY NEXT-LEVEL PROJECT ON BEHALF OF THE CETACEAN NATION
To me, the whales and dolphins are the ultimate indigenous people, a true 'extra-terrestrial intelligence', the 'people of the sea' and the true 'people of one heart' spoken of in the ancient Hopi prophecy. I've been deeply involved with them since 1980, working with Dr. John Lilly's Human/Dolphin Foundation using music as a form of communication. I gained the support of amazing musicians like Pat Metheny and Ralph Towner, astronomer Carl Sagan and science-fiction author Arthur C. Clarke to carry out an exa-scale artistic project involving human-cetacean music and radio-telescopes, only to shelve it in the mid-90's when I became alarmed at the extent to which 'my' species was quite literally waging war on the entire cetacean nation. Since then, my life's work has revolved around evolving an ever-deeper understanding of who they really are as fellow beings, fellow passengers-crew of Spaceship Earth, and to identifying, mapping, educating people about, and attenuating/eliminating the full spectrum of threats to their health and well-being, all of which are anthropogenic artifacts of our metastasizing military-industrial juggernaut.
Since the Puff the pilot whale incident in NZ January 2026 and what can only be described as an asymptotic on-going spike in cetacean strandings globally, I've been on a campaign to create a new paradigm of enlightenment in the human/cetacean relationship, based on
1) Understanding of WHO they really are: the 'people of the sea',
2) WHAT the real spectrum of threats to their well-being consists of, focus on astronomical increase in 'militarized ocean' undersea warfare operations, ASW (anti-submarine warfare) technologies involving next-gen AUV's, UUV's, AI-driven drone swarms and fleets of autonomous surface vessels, plus myriad sensors, probes, sono-buoys, IoT/OoT networks plus ubiquitous effects of sonars, seismic testing, hydro-carbon exploitation, rocket launch bits falling into ocean, the latest hydra of Deep Sea-bed Mining exploding globally, plus the more visible and audible effects of 'bio-acoustic toxicity', or NOISE, commercial fishing, shipping, ordnance/waste disposal, weapons testing, 'war-games' and actual war.. just to name a few, and
3) HOW to re-navigate our side of the equation...not only a transformed and re-educated approach to cetacean rescue and rehabilitation, honouring each and every stranded whale and dolphin as the 'person' they truly are, but identification, attenuation and elimination of all harmful anthropogenic activities in Mother Ocean...which would be everything except for sail-boats, surf-boards and swimmers.
New Zealand is the global cetacean hot-spot, the 'Gaza of the Cetacean Nation' ("a contested battle-space in which myriad non-combatant lives are taken", 'a slow-motion Hiroshima') with hundreds of whales stranding annually going totally unreported, on top of what is already the greatest number of strandings in the world, and subsequent record numbers of euthanasia by shot-gun (well over 2,000 since 2000).
In the words of JFK, "And we call ourselves human."
4) WHY? Haven't whales and dolphins always stranded? Shouldn't we just let nature take its course? Whale and dolphin strandings can be seen in the same way that humans have accidents and die. Cetaceans are air-breathing mammals who can drown. Some strandings are of the already dead; propelling themselves onto beaches accomplishes two things...even though they are immobilized, they can breathe without drowning, and stranding gets their ears out of the water so they aren't deafened, terrified or traumatized by amplified anthropogenic bio-acoustics.
Some strandings may involve cetaceans who simply want to die in peace without drowning. If we think of them as the 'people' they actually are, shouldn't we just leave them alone, or protect their solitude and tranquility, or be with them in love and compassion, in the same way we might treat someone in hospice?
Many strandings, particularly recently, seem to involve cetaceans who don't seem to be 'elderly' or sick or injured in visible ways. A few have shown evidence of being hit by a ship or propellor, but most seem to be for no apparent reason...that we can comprehend.
My firm belief is that some of us already have the innate ability to understand the cetaceans, to 'communicate' or be in direct touch with them, without the need of any external technologies like computers, hydro-phones, bloody effing AI to eaves-drop and 'decode' their 'language', which is all a crock of shite; this ability is a combination of powerful heart chakra attunement (i.e., love), interspecies empathic resonance, and conscious use of an atrophied capacity our species once had called telepathy.
The psychic/telepathic connection is both specific and distributed; I've had several mind-blowingly intensive direct 'transmissions' from them, including a unique 'holo-burst' just about this time of year in 2015, on Great Barrier Island, NZ. This was not only a clear image, possibly eidetic in the sense that it may have been an actual sensory impression stored in their collective memory, whose meaning was instantly clear, but just as clear was who it was from, what it meant, what the sending of it to me meant. Over time new levels of information content continue to unfold, for example the significance of the date when they sent it, and the realization that they used with me what they use between themselves. Mine was a mere instantaneous transmission; being light years ahead of us, they may have a continuous real-time multi-dimensional network of speed-of-light-if-not-faster information transfer network that even a googleplex factorial legion of nuclear-powered AI exa-scale super-computer data centres in Low Earth Orbit could not remotely approximate!
The telepathic connection with cetacean consciousness is also a distributed continuum of presence and knowing, with no well defined boundaries between them, us, the minds of Gaia and Mothers Ocean, Life, Earth, and Nature...
John Lilly referred to them as 'repeater stations for the signals from water-based life-forms' on other planets, in other parts of the galaxy and in other galaxies. Their intimate unity with the liquid crystal macro-molecular aqua-terrestrial intelligence of Mother Ocean allows them to function as sorts of 'biological radio-telescopes' who can perceive, feel, sense directly the intricacies and dynamics of what's going on not only on Earth and Mother Ocean, but in the helio-cosmic vicinity, with the sun and planets and beyond, with particular emphasis on disturbances or perturbations in these processes, indicative of the presence or proximity of 'foreign objects' of indeterminate characteristics, e.g., rogue planets, asteroids or comets.
Their knowledge of astronomy and navigation is light-years beyond anything homo sapiens has ever been capable of, and they don't even have hands or computers!
Cetaceans are the true 'crew' of Spaceship Earth; we, 'man, the wise', are currently identifying as the HSMV, the Homo Sapiens Macro Virus, a world-eating parasitic infestation stowaway bent on 'digging precious things from the land' and inviting disaster with our every move.
In their 30 million plus years of tenure on Earth, they've not only seen human civilizations rise and fall, come and go like wild-flowers or influenza, but witnessed the cosmic processes that make this kind of thing happen; they would have been there for the destructions of Lemuria and Atlantis, for the destructions of the three worlds known to Hopi as Tokpela, Tokpa, Kuskurza, and ours now, Tuwaqachi, destroyed respectively by fire from the sky and Earth, Earth flipping and ice, tech abuse and flood.
Even elder Thomas Banyacya with whom I spent a week at Hopi in 1986 warned of the immanent Day of Purification, but did not speculate on how this world will be taken out, although 'fire' seems to be involved, whether from nuclear warfare, vulcanism, impact events, or all of the above.
Cetaceans are the 'canaries in the coal mine' for life on Earth; that the on-going asymptotic spike in global strandings is unequivocally due to us cannot be intelligently questioned. We do not have the mental, moral, or spiritual ability to grasp even remotely what this means: that we as a species are directly responsible for the mass-murder and interspecies geno-cide of the coolest people on this planet, whose presence and functions help to maintain the health and well-being of ALL life on Earth. When THEIR health and well-being is compromised, LIFE AS WE KNOW HER is at risk.
As you can see, my new project isn't about 'saving the whales' or referring to them as 'magnificent creatures' or 'beautiful animals.' Quite the effing au contraire, my work is about understanding THEM, what they are trying to share with us, the extreme urgency of this sharing, and what the implications are for US: remember, they've been here for at least 30 million years and, living in the more stable and protective environment of the ocean, have ridden out multiple ELE's and civilizational wipe-out spectacles. They've endured and survived far worse than what we are meting out; the karmic consequences are in fact on US.
THE PLAN: The 'project' I am outlining here is nothing really new, just next-level awareness informed by leading-edge information and new approaches and alternatives to the current diabolically murderous protocols of countries like New Zealand and Australia.
1) To organize current information, synthesizing and collating into meaningful forms that can get the messages across, for example, exactly how many cetaceans are stranding, when, where, why; to verify the authenticity of each and every report. Investigative scientific journalism.
2) To network with as many leading minds as possible in relevant areas, specifically, state-of-the-art expertise on whale and dolphin rescue and rehabilitation methodologies based on treating them like people, not animals; biomedical specialists and Emergency Medical Technicians experienced with whales and dolphins; enlightened 'trainers' and 'veterinarians'. The goal here is to have teams of highly qualified people ready to mobilize. The ultimate goal would be to have a network of facilities on stand-by, just like how fire-stations operate. During 'down time' the teams can engage in educating the public about who the cetaceans are, and what anthropogenic factors might contribute to strandings and cetacean malaise.
3) To create whole new infrastructures of transport, emergency medical, rehabilitation, and long-term care in which every single whale and dolphin who survives their trauma and cannot be refloated is cared for and nurtured back to health, exactly as if they were a human person.
4) To keep cetaceans visible on the public radar, so that human people hold them in their hearts and minds, learn how to tune in to their frequencies of loving Mother Earth and unconditional compassion, their urgent messages warning of impending 'regenerative catastrophism.'
Since they can't 'talk' to us (and never will, thanks to a powerful 'fire wall' that will protect them from us), humans who are empathic and deeply attuned to them may be able to ascertain if they might actually want to move on to the next dimension, i.e., hospice.
I've long speculated that their experience of what we erroneously call 'death' may be radically different from ours, not that all humans experience this transition in the same way; they may have such conscious group souls that the loss of an individual identity may not be as noticeable as it might be to ego-centric beings like ourselves?
(1), (2) and (4) are regular parts of my daily life: communication and information transfer, artistic expression conveying beauty, colour and 'big story' in often-whimsical ways. I'm constantly writing new articles, painting rocks with cetaceans, doing paintings, murals and surf-boards, I'm working on a brand new t-shirt design about the whales and dolphins, and have a huge 'beyond-film' project under way utilizing state-of-the-art audio-visual synthesis to connect with cetacean consciousness in real time, to see what they see, to hear what they hear, to feel what they feel...I record a lot of music with humpback whale songs, and in June I reactivated my On the Brink Radio show on a new platform, rlmradio.xyz, and have recorded about 16 new shows since then, playing their sounds talking about the whales and dolphins in every broadcast.
(3) is another level of endeavour altogether. This kind of operation would take place at the level of non-profit organizations, ngo's, governmental and bureaucratic agencies, or so one would think; yet any 'organization' quickly becomes a victim of its own need for self-preservation, not to mention the salaries and budgets of administrators and employees. Hospitals exist, hospital ships exist, dedicated planes and choppers, emergency medical teams who can mobilize at the drop of a hat exist, the Royal Flying Doctors Service exists in Australia...all this for human people.
The obstacle is, if we can do all this for human people, why don't we do it for non-human people?
"A Pacific Islands declaration ratified by traditional custodians and elders of several island nations, including New Zealand, Cook Islands, Tonga, and Rapanui, called 'He Whakaputanga Moana.' Have you heard of this? Apparently a Greens MP tabled this as potential actual legislation in NZ Parliament last February.
The primary goal of this is to give whales and dolphins the same rights as people. What that would translate into in the real world is entirely indeterminate, but one thing for sure: IF cetaceans were legally recognized as 'people', then shooting them in the head becomes a capital offense."
From a message to Director, Marine and Freshwater Biodiversity, Department of Conservation, Federal Government, New Zealand
It's not so much a matter of having lots of $ to do it, it's a matter of having the will and motivation to MAKE IT SO. Money doesn't do anything, people do! Are you with me?
