Today marks the 73rd anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, resulting in the more or less instantaneous death of over 80,000 civilians, according to official estimates, followed by another on Nagasaki on 9 August, killing an additional 40,000 people. But ionizing radiation doesn't just kill in the manner of a bullet...it keeps on killing and mutating for generations.
The global nuclear scenario is not well understood by the majority of people, being in fact more or less invisible on public radar; those who do know it well...the military-industrial organizations and their various allied think-tanks, intelligence operatives and academic institutions...would be the last to share accurate information. It's been up to individual researchers who have been inspired to dig deeply into the subterranean caverns of the taboo, of suppression, repression and denial, to formulate an understanding of what 'nuclear' actually means and translates into in the real world.
The truth is, most people simply do not want to hear about it. The inescapably grim reality of the global nuclear scenario has been marginalized, swept under the carpets of distraction, and all but eclipsed by the heavily-marketed spectre of 'climate change'.
I like to tell people that the whole 'climate change' scenario, even IF it were true...which it by no means is...could in no way compare to the absolute threats to life as we know her coming from the trans-astronomical quantities of the almost 2000 synthetic radio-nuclides generated by fission reactions = what happened in atomic explosions and is happening all the time in what is probably over 1000 reactors in operation around the world.
'Climate change', even if it were the malicious and pernicious evil bogey that it is portrayed as, does not and can not cause cancer, mutations or birth defects; even the so-called 'atmospheric pollutant' carbon dioxide...which is in reality the 'oxygen of the plant kingdom'...is not carcinogenic, mutagenic or teratogenic at any level or concentration.
Every particle, every emission of every radio-nuclide and its isotopes and daughter-products IS potentially carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic.
We are talking substances that have never existed before in the known universe, with the exception of a few that were created by supernova explosions. Since 16 July, 1945, the day of the first atomic detonation code-named Trinity, what can only be called 'nuclear war' has been raging throughout the biosphere of the only planet we know who has life.
'Nuclear war' is NOT 'merely' the detonation of multiple or myriad atomic bombs or nuclear missiles, with all the kilo- and mega-tons of explosiveness entailed by this nightmare scenario, and the concomitant slow death of large populations of every living being due to radiation, starving, freezing and asphyxiation. Au contraire, this is just the Hollywood spectacle version, which we are supposedly lucky to have avoided thus far.
The REAL meaning of 'nuclear war' is the dissemination of radio-active substances throughout the biosphere. This process began in 1945 and continues unabated to this day, invisible but ubiquitous.
How much of this stuff is there? One may as well ask how many zeroes there are? I recently came across the expression 'zettajoule' in an article on the 'heating' of the oceans. This is ten to the 21st power joules (a unit of energy), or a sextillion. Quite a large number, to be sure, and 150 zettajoules could be a valid approximation of the 'heating' of the oceans between 1865 and 1997. How this figure was calculated is unknown to me, but for now let's say it's accurate.
The article goes on to say that then in the 18 years from 1997 until 2015 (when this article came out) the oceans heated another 150 zettajoules (this is, of course, 'global warming'). Then a comparison is made to Hiroshima-level atomic explosions.
All of this is in the context of validating the mainstream 'climate change' meme. But, as is always the case with this kind of 'science', gaping holes exist that would make any swiss cheese jealous. For example, did this researcher totally forget...as many of his/her 'peers' seem to...about our closest star, the Sun, and its centrality in providing not only heat but also light and yes radiation to Mother Earth? Did this researcher also forget...or more likely, never know...that 1997 is almost precisely the year that microwave-powered ionospheric heaters like H.A.A.R.P. became fully operational = their main effect being the heating of the planet? And why did they fail to relate that when it comes to atomic weapons, the joules don't matter nearly as much as the Curies or Becquerels? Joules in this context would describe the mechanical destructiveness of the blast, often expressed as kilo- or mega-tons of an equivalent quantity of TNT. The Curies, or Becquerels, on the other hand, describe the radio-logical lethality of the explosion, the biological warfare component, which is unleashed and has only just begun to wreak its havoc on all beings biological. The joules destroy your buildings but the Becquerels mutate your ancestors...or prevent them.

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory also runs the still on-going study of Hiroshima survivors, to understand the long-term effects of ionizing radiation. Genetic toxicologist and colleague of Rachel Carson Arnold Lehmann revealed that in order even to begin to understand the effects of chemical or radio-logical mutagens, we must study at least 25 generations of human beings. We of today are only the third generation to live since these substances came into existence, so we are very much the experiment.
Once again, so how much of this stuff actually is there?

It's interesting that someone like Durack (a Tasmanian, by the way) can easily conjure up notions like 'zettajoules' to quantify the evil bogey of 'global warming' but when have you ever seen any mainstream scientist share quantitative estimates for the total planetary burden of anthropogenic ionizing radiation?

Yablokov's worst-case estimate (which is likely to be true) is that the entire contents of the Chernobyl reactor was spewed into the biosphere, releasing 10 to the 10th Curies of ionizing radiation. This is a lot, but consider that this was just the contents of one reactor, of which maybe 1000 exist, not to mention the tens if not hundreds of thousands of nuclear bombs, missiles and warheads, the perhaps billions of rounds of DU munitions, the tens of millions of spent fuel rods from reactors (each reactor typically has hundreds of thousands stored on site), the active contents of the reactors themselves, the unimaginable quantity of contaminated water, structures, and associated materials, and land at places like Hanford and the Nevada Test Site, as well as the vast quantity of uranium mining tailings which are 'blowin' in the wind'...'low level' radiation but still very dangerous.
Not only are we steeped in the fables that the atom is 'peaceful' and that we have successfully avoided 'nuclear war', we also believe totally inaccurately that all this ionizing radiation is somehow magically contained. It is not; if you dare to look you will find for example that leukemia clusters exist around every reactor site.
Huge paradoxes characterize the global nuclear scenario: Low-level radiation can be more dangerous than higher levels - the higher levels would kill the organism outright but the lower levels would 'only' cause cancer or mutations that could be transmitted to subsequent generations. Spent fuel rods coming out of the reactor are thousands of times more radio-active than when they went in. Generating electricity using nuclear power consumes vast amounts of resources, including hydro-carbons and creates trans-astronomical quantities of the most dangerous substances known to the universe, all just to boil water to power turbines.
In case you are wondering, 'googleplex' is 10 to the 100th power. And 'factorial' is a summation series beginning with, in this case, googleplex + (googleplex minus one) + (googleplex minus two) +...and so on all the way down to one. So, googleplex factorial to the googleplex factorial-th power might begin to suffice...
Having said all this, in an attempt to keep all things nuclear alive and well on the public radar, I must now reiterate the significance of what investigative researcher Peter Kirby calls 'the new Manhattan Project' which is a good way to describe the now not-so-new paradigm of geo-physical warfare, or military geo-engineering, which is based on high-powered microwave transmitters in strategic locations functioning as ionospheric heaters, used to manipulate atmospheric, hydrospheric, lithospheric, geological, tectonic, magneto-telluric and neuro-physiological processes at a global level. If it sounds a bit sci-fi, it truly is, but it is nonetheless very real.

'As I see it, looking at the Hopi prophecies is not a quaint look back at the mythology of yet another essentially disenfranchised native American tribe, but an exploration of the deeply spiritual world-view of a totally unique indigenous people whose prophecies, dating back many many thousands of years, describe perfectly what is happening in the world of today, and whose language has individual words describing highly sophisticated concepts relating to the perception of time, culture, and reality. 'Koyaanisqatsi', for example, means 'life out of balance', 'crazy life', or 'a way of living that calls for another way of living.' 'Powaqatsi' means 'a sorceror or way of life that derives its energy from other life-forms.' And 'naqoyqatsi' means 'time of war.' As far as I am aware, neither English or any other Indo-European languages have words of such visionary sophistication.
To me, the central prophecy that is most highly relevant to the world of today is 'If we dig precious things from the land we will invite disaster.' This pretty much sums up the root of many of our most serious ecological and spiritual maladies. If you look, for example, at the genocide, ecocide, war and strife that are the hand-maidens and consequences of our relentlessly digging out gold, coal, and petroleum, it's clear that our blatant violation of this warning has indeed brought disaster down upon us. The most dangerous 'precious thing' we have dug from the land, however, is uranium; our mobilization, concentration and experimentation on this sacred part of the living body of Mother Earth has given birth to the entire global nuclear scenario...a destructive nightmare adversely affecting every life form on this planet and whose long-terms consequences we have only begun to experience. Mining and hydro-carbon extraction is exploding all around the world. The negative spiritual karma accruing for humanity is unimaginable, and it is a burden to be born by each and every one of us, not some imaginary 'them' out there.
As I see it, our generalized acceptance of and complacency towards this literal war on Mother Earth may well result in the exclusion of homo sapiens from the 'new creation' which is to occur after the 'day of purification' has cleasned the Earth from all that is out of balance and harmony with life and the true path of the Great Spirit.'
Welcome to the global nuclear scenario, the most diabolical technological 'achievement' ever foisted by homo sapiens accompanied by the greatest abyss of ignorance in the modern mind. First, we've all heard about 'megatons' of weapons, but this is nothing more than the equivalent explosive power in tons of TNT. The REALLY meaningful units represent the REAL damage: the quantities of ionizing radiation expressed in Curies (Ci) or becquerels.
Fukushima is not 'over', there's no 'safe levels', 'nuclear war' is constant and began in 1945; nuclear power creates astronomical quantities of the most carcinogenic and mutagenic substances that exist outside of supernovae in order to boil water; well over 2000 nuclear detonations have been deployed, sending close to 2000 synthetic radio-nuclides into every nook, cranny, cell, tissue and organism on land, sea and in the air, each of which has a half-life from seconds to millions of years and a 'decay-chain' of associated and equally radio-active daughter products; hundreds of thousands of spent fuel rods are in storage, often on-site, for the majority of each of what may be 1000+ reactors world-wide; DU, or 'depleted uranium' munitions contain the most highly radio-active substances from reactor waste; and, most joyfully, tens of thousands of nuclear missiles are just sitting there awaiting their launch codes. This is only part of the legacy of 'the peaceful atom.'
We live in a universe saturated with radiation of various kinds...the entire electromagnetic spectrum is a map of, yes, radiation, both non-ionizing and ionizing, the difference being the relative power level of the emanations. Visible light, radio, infra-red and ultraviolet radiation are non-ionizing; alpha, beta, gamma and cosmic rays are ionizing...they strip off outer valence electrons in affected atoms creating ions, or atoms with an imbalanced electrical charge. Radiation is essential for life, maybe even ionizing radiation at extremely low levels, for example, in the uranium that is ubiquitous in topsoils all over the world. Higher concentrations exist in ore bodies mainly found in lava flows; indigenous people have identified 'sickness country' and places where you don't want to drink the water or even visit. All this is totally natural.
When we began to become 'civilized' we did this through a direct violation of the Hopi prophecy: 'If we dig precious things from the land we will invite disaster.' Civilization, literally, 'living in cities' is only possible because of what we have done with all the precious substances we have violently extracted from the body of Mother Earth. Being 'man, the wise', we couldn't be satisfied with having dug out just a little bit...no, we've had to keep going to the next level with digging and pumping out astronomical quantities of every precious substance in the body of Mother Earth. Stone, diamonds, iron, gold, hydro-carbons...each of these has invited its own unique manifestations of geno- and eco-cide; but uranium is the crown prince of anthropogenic disaster.

Since 1945 homo sapiens, “man, the wise”, has been holding the nuclear ‘gun’ to his own head. But who does he think he’s fooling? When you take someone ‘hostage’, for example, you’re supposed to hold the gun to someone else’shead…not your own! It’s all far more insane than almost any of us dares to consider…and even more insane than the fact that all things nuclear even exist is the fact that almost all of us pretend that they aren’t even real! Our current scenario has all the makings of a fantastic Greek tragi-comedy; the only problem is that the ‘stage’ on which it is being enacted…maybe not for the first time but perhaps for the last?...just happens to be the only planet in the known universe that harbours life as we currently know her: Mother Earth.
In the early years of the scenario, the only threat of ‘nuclear war’ was from American imperialism; since they were the “good guys”, it was ok for them to be the lone nuclear power. But once the ‘evil empire’ of the USSR had them (which occurred only five years later, and was part of the plan all along…a ‘playing off’ of two opposing super-powers in a shadow-government ‘chess match’ master-minded by former Nazi intelligence director Reinhard Gehlen who laid the foundation for the CIA and the National Security Council in America-to accelerate the engines of the military-industrial complex on behalf of the banking cartel) then the “Cold War” was under way, and the juggernaut of nuclear proliferation reared its mutant head.
“Nuclear war” is nothing new and actually began with the Trinity test in 1045, and has continued unabated ever since. According to Dr. Tedd Weymann, any practice or process that spreads ionising radiation into the biosphere is in fact ‘nuclear war’ and includes the 2000+ atmospheric detonations, hundreds or thousands of under-ground and submarine detonations; the effects and side-effects of the nuclear reactor/weapons industry, with its astronomical quantities of mining tailings and high-level wastes, consisting of close to 2000 synthetic radio-nuclides not occurring in nature, many with half-lives on the order of thousands of years or more, and all of them posing extreme health threats to biological life. These waste products, the most deadly substances known to exist in the known universe, are sitting in rusty drums at the bottom of oceans, buried in holes, wells and trenches around the world, stored at leaky facilities on-site at every reactor that exists (maybe as many 600 in the world). Countless nuclear “accidents” have occurred as well, not all of which we know anything about; we think of Three Mile Island, Chernobyl and most recently Fukushima, but many dozens more have happened. Many of these disasters may not have been “accidental” or “natural”, in the same way that the hundreds of thousands of kilograms of DU (‘depleted uranium’, a euphemism for radioactive wastes including high-level actinides manufactured into bullets and artillery shells for use by NATO forces) were not “accidentally” deployed all over the world.
We tend to forget…or maybe never realized that…all things nuclear are weapons per se…against biological life. Companies like General Electric, for example (who had co-existing directors in America and Nazi Germany) designed and built nuclear reactors, nuclear weapons, and television, the “atomic bomb of the mind.” From the beginning, reactors and their spent fuel pools have been regarded as “terrorist targets.” Translation of double-speak: reactors were designed to be blown up in order to disperse radio-nuclides as efficiently as possible. Hence, their strategic locations close to major population centres and/or directly on major fault lines.ALL of this constitutes “nuclear war”, although we tend to think of it only in terms of pyro-technic displays like Hiroshima and Nagasaki. “Nuclear war” actually began as soon as we started to dig out radium and uranium from sacred indigenous lands; it is the fulfilment of our collective karma from pretending to ‘live’ in an ‘industrial civilization’ based on raping the Earth to stand where we are now, on the very brink of an ALL-OUT nuclear war.

The story below tells of my 'introduction' to the global nuclear scenario via the Hopi prophecy of koyaanisqatsi. The synchronicity of being where some of the uranium for the first atomic bombs was mined, in support of First Nations Americans who were warning us about the dangers of 'digging precious things from the land', precisely when the largest nuclear disaster in history unfolded in the Ukraine, was not only one of if not THE most powerful in my life but also inspired and empowered me on a journey of continued education and a mission of sharing this information...and warning...that went to the next level in the wake of Fukushima.
"In April of 1986 I went to a place called Big Mountain, on the Navaho reservation in northern Arizona. We were there to support the indigenous elders who were facing forced removal by the government; Peabody Coal (owner of Kerr-McGee, the plutonium processing company that Karen Silkwood worked for…see the movie Silkwood) wanted to strip-mine Black Mesa…a region of immense sacredness to both the Hopi and the Navaho…and site of one of the largest deposits of coal, shale and uranium on the planet.
It was at this time that I first learned of the Hopi prophecies, whose essence has been extraordinarily conveyed in a brilliant film called Koyaanisqatsi (Hopi for 'life out of balance.') It was also at this time that I first learned of Australian physician and anti-nuclear activist Helen Caldicott, through her work with the Center for Informed Democracy in Santa Cruz.
I had borrowed a Geiger counter from the physics department at UCSC, and in between our sessions with the elders, the singing, dancing and drum circles, I would walk around taking readings on the rocks lying on the ground. I will always remember the clicks of the alpha particles striking the sensor…as well as the momentary ominous presence of the F-16 fighter plane that swept over us at no more than one hundred feet off the ground.
And I will never forget the headline on the newspapers the day we came down to Flagstaff, after a week of isolation in the desert: the Chernobyl meltdown! While I was learning of the Hopi prophecies in one of their most sacred places, what is still to date the worst nuclear accident in history (that we know of!) was happening on the opposite side of the world. And last I heard, twenty years later, is that the molten reactor cores are still melting down through the Earth.
This amazing synchronicity has always been a profound lesson to me. I had been on-lab at Los Alamos National Laboratory near Santa Fe, New Mexico two years earlier, to visit my old physics lab instructor from college. It was there that I first caught the creepy vibe of the nuclear weapons establishment and the rather 'matter-of-fact' approach of the scientists and researchers. In a museum at LANL I saw mock-ups of the atomic bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and was reminded that the scenario of how a nuclear apocalypse might happen as envisioned by Stanley Kubrick in his film Dr. Strangelove was not at all far out. I was all too aware that people like Edward Teller existed and had influenced legions of nuclear strategists and imperial technocrats.
I had also learned that the Hopi prophecies had predicted that as a result of 'digging precious things from the land', a 'gourd of ash would be thrown from the sky, which would burn the land and boil the oceans.'"

It’s no coincidence that the man who did the most to awaken our generation to the awe and mystery of the cosmos was also one of the most ardent anti-nuclear activists the world has ever seen.
Astronomer Carl Sagan made great contributions in the field of planetary sciences before his name became almost synonymous with “extra-terrestrial intelligence.” When he entered the realm of mass-communication with his comprehensively mind-blowing television series Cosmos, millions of star-gazers and space-cadets around the world came to love his New York accent and his waving arms telling us there were “billions and billions” of stars out there just like our sun. In our own galaxy. His question: so why haven’t we heard from anyone else?
Sagan’s hypothesis was that there may be no one else out there…not because they were never there, but because they destroyed themselves before they could go “inter-stellar.” He believed that “technological civilizations” evolve in the same way as human beings, going through stages of adolescent recklessness before maturing into stability. The difference was that instead of wrecking their parents’ house or car, like a teenager, the young technological civilization would tend to wreck its spaceship, its planet; or worse, completely destroy itself through the mis-use of advanced technologies.
How far are we from this scenario? The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists has a little clock that’s been at only a few minutes to mid-night for several decades. Midnight, of course, represents the unleashing of a nuclear “Armageddon”, whether intentional or accidental. Many would argue that the minute hand has moved much closer to the “witching hour” since the Bush administration and associated New World Order enterprises unveiled their new “nucular” agenda, which involves rolling back or destroying previously existing test-bans and non-proliferation treaties, building a new generation of reactors, forming a “cartel’ of uranium-exporting and processing states, and actually adopting a “first-strike” orientation in terms of military strategy…all changes which ten years ago would have been regarded as unacceptably stark-raving mad. Today, it’s still stark raving mad…but acceptably so; the mind-managers have had their noses to the grindstone!"

Again, the parallel between chemicals and radiation is exact and inescapable.
The living cell assaulted by radiation suffers a variety of injuries: its ability to divide normally may be destroyed, it may suffer changes in chromosomal structure, or the genes, carriers of hereditary material, may undergo those sudden changes known as mutations, which cause them to produce new characteristics in succeeding generations. If especially susceptible the cell may be killed outright, or finally, after the passage of time measured in years, it may become malignant.
All these consequences of radiation have been duplicated in laboratory studies by a large group of chemicals known as radio-mimetic or mutation-imitating. Many chemicals used in pesticides – herbicides as well as insecticides – belong to this group of substances that have the ability to damage the chromosomes, interfere with normal cell division, or cause mutations. These injuries ot the genetic material are of a kind that may lead to disease in the individual exposed or they may make their effects felt in future generations.
Only a few decades ago, no one knew these effects of either radiation or chemicals. In those days the atom had not been split and few of the chemicals that were to duplicate radiation has as yet been conceived in the test tubes of chemists. Then in 1927, a professor of zoology in a Texas university, Dr. H. J. Muller, found that by exposing an organism to x-radiation, he could produce mutations in succeeding generations. With Muller’s discovery a vast new field of scientific and medical knowledge was opened up. Muller later received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for his achievement, and in a world that soon gained familiarity with the grey rains of fall-out, even the non-scientist now knows the potential results of radiation.
Although far less noticed, a companion discovery was made by Charlotte Auerbach and William Robson at the University of Edinburgh in the early 1940’s. Working with mustard gas, they found that this chemical produced permanent chromosome abnormalities that cannot be distinguished from those induced by radiation. Tested on the fruit fly, the same organism that Muller had used in his original work with X-rays, mustard gas also produced mutations. Thus the first chemical mutagen was discovered.
Mustard gas as a mutagen has now been joined by a long list of other chemicals known to alter genetic material in plants and animals…
Dr. Peter Alexander, an outstanding British authority, has said that the radio-mimetic chemicals ‘may well represent a greater danger’ than radiation. Dr. Muller, with the perspective gained by decades of distinguished work in genetics, warns that various chemicals (including groups represented by pesticides)…can raise the mutation frequency as much as radiation…As yet far too little known of the extent to which our genes, under modern conditions of exposures to unusual chemicals, are being subjected to such mutagenic influences."

After World War II, as early as 1946, they began exploding nuclear bombs in the Pacific. They had a theory that the radioactive fallout would only go halfway around the world--but discovered it went around two and a half times."

The questions persist: How many radionuclides spread over the world? How much radiation is still stored inside the sarcophagus, the dome that covers the reactor? No one knows for certain, but the estimates vary from 50 × 10 to the 6th Ci, or 4–5% of the total radionuclides released from the reactor, to the reactor being essentially empty and more than 10 × 10 to the 9th Ci dispersed over the globe (Chapter I.1). It is not known how many liquidators ultimately took part in the mitigation; a directive from the USSR Ministry of Defense, dated June 9, 1989, mandated secrecy (Chapter II.3)."

The nuclear monster is rearing its head once again in the land down under. New PM Malcolm 'Mal-function' Turnbull and his recently selected 'chief scientist' Alan Finkel seem determined to increase Australia’s ‘nuclear presence’ beyond the mere mining of uranium to include nuclear waste repositories (on indigenous land, where else?), uranium enrichment facilities, and even, yes, nuclear reactors for electricity. And not just good old plain electricity, this would be SPECIAL because, according toMal and the Fink…get this…nuclear power is ’a zero emissions energy’.
Remember this: ‘a ZERO EMISSIONS ENERGY’. Repeat it a few times to yourself, because you’re going to be hearing this ad nauseum in coming weeks and months. It’s the latest ‘engineering of consent’ catch-phrase designed to fool the scientifically ignorant public that all-things-nuclear come from ‘the peaceful atom’ and are in fact, in the words of John Howard, ‘safe and clean.’

The global nuclear scenario is almost too huge and scary to get a handle on, but I’ve been trying to do so ever since an extraordinarily powerful synchronicity in 1986 inspired me to educate myself as fully as possible and to share this information with as many people as possible.
In the wake of Fukushima in 2011, I went to the next level with my all-things-nuclear education and activism, and now, after a period of not having the nuclear scenario in the centre of my radar, it’s BACK, with all the ‘nucular’ double-speak down under.
‘Nucular’ is how George W. Bush pronounced it. It’s actually pronounced ‘new-klee-ur.’ Ironically and humorously, neither Turnbull nor Finkel can pronounce it either. They are both saying ‘newkilur’. It speaks highly of Australia that there’s not even anyone close to them who can correct them on this!
"OUR RADIO-ACTIVE EARTH: 'ZERO-EMISSIONS ENERGY' & THE GLOBAL CANCER EPIDEMIC"
July 16th marked the 68th anniversary of Trinity, the dawn of the nuclear age; August 6th and 9th the anniversaries of 'tests 2 and 3', Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which completed the 'unholy trinity'. In the past week or two we've seen renewed and elevated publicity about radio-nuclides from Fukushima contaminating the Pacific ocean. And in just the past few days, evidence demonstrates that Israel has used tactical nuclear weapons in Syria.
Does anyone out there actually appreciate what this means? Does anyone out there even care? It seems to me that almost everyone, even those who once were aware, have become totally numb and oblivious to what is without a doubt THE capstone on the pyramid of military-industrial civilization's escalating and full-spectrum war on life as we know her. The single greatest ecological disaster in history goes unrecognized by 'Generation F' whose semi-functional psychic and cognitive 'radar' is jammed with chaff like the Snowden hoax, 'climate change', Obama's dirty laundry and a host of any manufactured artifacts of trivia that can be presented as 'news'.
Of the handful of people who have been beacons of truth and accurate information in the wake of Fukushima, even the once-noted Dr. Chris Busby came out with an article the other day that really disturbed me. On one hand, I thank Chris for taking the time to write this article and to keep Fukushima on our radar, but on the other I feel that he has omitted SO much vital information that the end result is quite misleading.

What kind of global catastrophe IS it then? What is going on, not only with Fukushima but with respect to the overall global nuclear scenario, is a VAST UNKNOWN. WE are the experiment. Synthetic radio-nuclides have only existed for 68 years. That's only 2 generations of humans. Genetic toxicologists in the days of Rachel Carson, Dr. Arnold Lehmann, for example, told us that in order truly to understand the health effects of radio-logical or chemical carcinogens and mutagens, at least 25 generations of people must be studied. This means that in order even to approximate what the true long-term health effects are, we have to wait around for another 400 years or so.
We have not erred on the side of caution; prudency would have precluded Trinity. Au contraire, we have saturated the entire biosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere of Mother Earth with astronomically unknowable quantities of close to 2000 known synthetic radio-nuclides, many of which have half-lives on the order of tens of thousands of years or longer. Daughter products may have longer half-lives and/or greater radiation levels than their parent substances.
But ONE THING is for sure: the releases of radio-nuclides are by no means over.
Dr. Linus Pauling and Petkau Effect
I strongly recommend that you educate yourselves about the Petkau effect.
"In 1972, a researcher in Canada, Dr. Abram Petkau, found that when cells were irradiated slowly, a smaller total dose was needed to cause damage. Since this critical discovery it has been verified that a small dose of radiation over a long time is more damaging than one larger dose...Dr. Ernest Sternglass, retired Emeritus Professor of Radiological Physics at the University of Pittsburgh and a pioneering researcher in the field of radiation health, explains in his 1978 book Secret Fallout the implications of this new understanding: 'Doses of radiation delivered slowly and continuously over extended periods of time are hundreds of times as damaging biologically as short, high intensity exposures of the same total dose. This was made clear in 1972 by Dr. Abram Petkau who discovered that at low doses of radiation absorbed at low rates, the dominant biological damage is produced by highly toxic molecules called free radicals.'
A 1966 report by the Atomic Energy Commission, The Genetic Effects of Radiation, concluded 'there is no threshold on the genetic effect of radiation. There is no safe level of radiation insofar as genetic effects are concerned.' "

We somehow think that if we can't see, hear, smell or feel something, that it has no effect on us, whether we're talking about chemicals, micro-waves or radio-nuclides. In the same way, we think that even if we are exposed to these things, if we don't die immediately then no harm was done. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Humans of today are EXPERIMENTS IN MUTATION...biologically, psychologically, spiritually. Few of us alive now can truly qualify as 'people' any more; dolphins have just been declared to be 'people' in India.
And look at what we're doing to the people of the sea...the REAL 'people' of Mother Earth. New agers are worried about captivity and whales-as-meat issues, but those of us with enough scientific back-ground and willingness to educate ourselves and train our spirits to stomach REALITY know about the far greater dangers to cetaceans from naval sonars and seismic exploration technologies.
Even these global threats pale, however, compared to the ubiquitous lethality and worse, mutagenicity, of the astronomical quantities of synthetic radio-nuclides saturating the entire biosphere of Mother Earth, most notably, the global ocean which is home to the vast majority of all life on this planet.
Ironically, right along with the elevated publicity of Fukushima ocean contamination, and on the Hiroshima-Nagasaki anniversaries, it looks like Israel has actually used tactical nuclear weapons on Syria. To the uneducated, this might seem like a new threshold that was crossed. The reality, however, is that nuclear war began in 1945 and has been raging ever since.
