HONOURING THE 'JACQUES COUSTEAU' OF NEW ZEALAND: GLENN EDNEY, WADE DOAK and ROGER GRACE = KAITIAKIS MOANA :)

We have never been ‘alone.’  In the same way that we needn’t ‘go into space’ because we’re already there…how could we NOT be?...we’ve never been alone because our true ‘family’ is the universe, which as currently conceived may host not only a very broad spectrum of ‘beings’, ‘intelligences’ and forms of consciousness…of far greater diversity, improbability and unknowability than the sum of all science-fiction…but is ‘intelligent’ and ‘conscious’ in and of itself.  Our nearest star, the sun, Sol, is a powerful stellar ‘being’ and ‘intelligence’; Mothership Earth, or Gaia, is herself an astronomically complex planetary ‘being’ and ‘intelligence’.  The union of Father Sky and Mother Earth gives birth to life as we know her, a vast creative and experimental intelligence based on DNA, carbon compounds, and water who manifests herself as an endless expression of living art-information.  Every being, every form of life is by nature ‘intelligent’ in its own way.

Towards a Modern Personification of the Ocean
"Examples of the personification of the Ocean stretch back to our very beginnings and are a prominent feature of virtually all pre-monotheistic creation myths. In early Greek mythology for example Okeanos (one of the twelve Titans) is the Ocean. In many Polynesian cultures Tangaroa is the guardian of the Ocean and was born out of the union of Rangi (Sky father) and Papa (Earth mother). In the traditional Yoruba religion of west African cultures Yemoja is the Goddess of the living Ocean. As all life is believed to have begun in the Ocean, all life is held to have begun with Yemoja.

Our modern scientific understanding of the planet as a self-regulating, living system, and the Ocean as the birth-place of life validates much of this old wisdom. And yet, we continue to treat the Ocean as little more than a resource bank; forever withdrawing, our only deposits the toxic waste of our industrialised lifestyle. Perhaps it’s time we re-engaged with a worldview that supports a more life-enhancing context for our modern scientific knowledge.

Indigenous cultures throughout the world have always experienced themselves as a part of rather than apart from their surroundings. Likewise they do not arbitrarily separate life from environment. To do so would be both counter-intuitive and illogical: how can there be fish without an Ocean to swim in? Indeed, most indigenous wisdom traditions fully comprehend that without liquid water, there is no life (an understanding with which modern science fully concurs).

In this context the personification of the living world serves several relational purposes; physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual. Put together these relational connections form the basis of an over-arching worldview that informs and gives meaning to ecological knowledge built up over time. This in turn leads to the development of customs and rituals, designed to manage and control human behaviour, in relation to their immediate environment and the world as a whole.

In 2017 the Whanganui River in Aotearoa/New Zealand was officially recognised as a living being, with all the rights of legal personhood. Soon after, Te Urewera, a former National Park was accorded the same status of legal personhood. But as the Maori elders of Whanganui point out: it is not just the legal ramifications that are important, but a new orientation in our relationship with the more than human world, one based not on rights, but responsibilities.

I believe it is time to recognise the Ocean as a living being with intrinsic value far beyond the benefits she provides humanity. A being that deserves our respect and gratitude, but also asserts the right to live unencumbered by the excesses of modern human behaviour. It is time for a modern personification of the Ocean."

Here is an excerpt from the prologue to The Ocean is Alive in which Glenn is describing a very powerful encounter with a humpback whale and her calf:

 "As I float on the surface, fully immersed in her energetic field, I feel the strangest sensation, as if I’m being entered through every pore of my skin. I feel her presence within me, filling my senses with her being. There’s a moment when I contemplate resisting; a momentary fear of the unknown perhaps, but there’s no sense of danger. I close my eyes, open my arms, my whole being to her internal gaze. Everything outside this connection fades; I hardly feel the chill of the water against my bare skin. I’m aware of myself but can no longer distinguish a clear separation between us. I recognise my own thoughts, feelings and emotions but also experience her emotional being as my own...
I start to feel a sense of expansiveness, as if I’m stretching out through the water like a wave, but with the same feeling of extended consciousness and connection that comes when the mind reaches a deep level of stillness during meditation. There’s another quality to this sensation, some deeper meaning, but I can’t grasp what it is. I feel her probing me, looking for understanding and somehow I sense that I do understand what it is she’s trying to show me. I can’t touch it yet, it’s lying just out of reach, but I know it’s there. Maybe she feels this too because the intensity of her probing diminishes and takes on a lighter feel...
 It feels like she’s giving me a guided tour of her inner being but I’m aware that I’m only skimming the surface. There’s so much more to see, if only I knew how. It doesn’t feel as if she’s hiding anything from me, just that I’m not capable of seeing it. But I also get the sense that she’s more than capable of blocking my access to her if she chooses. She has chosen to communicate with me in this way and it is very much on her terms."

GREETINGS AND WELCOME once again from lovely and enchanted Tasmania...a beautiful Gondwana-remnant island about the size of Ireland...surrounded by just as much ocean as New Zealand but unfortunately when you get out of Hobart or a handful of other coastal communities, the sense of being a maritime province evaporates. Kiwis might mistakenly think of themselves as 'nuclear free' and that 'zero carbon' would be a good thing but at least almost everyone in New Zealand has some kind of connection with Mother Ocean. Not so in Tasmania. In New Zealand, the furthest you can get from the ocean is about 120 kms, and checking on my trusty geological map of Tasmania, it would be just about the same here.  Regardless of the reasons for the lack of maritime identification here, one of my many unspoken goals is to inspire and create enhanced connection with Mother Ocean.

With this long-overdue weekly email...indeed later today I am recording NEXT week's show in honour of critical thinking, ingesting fiction versus creating your own reality...I share another long-overdue interview with Glenn Edney, marine biologist, underwater photographer, skipper, activist, author, lover of whales and dolphins, a kaitiaki moana, or 'ocean guardian' AND a true 'Jacques Cousteau' of New Zealand.



In this show we talk about what has happened in New Zealand since I left in early March in the wake of the whole 'coronavirus'...the word charade comes to mind. Glenn describes his experience as being essentially a holiday from all the hustle and bustle of business as usual. I emphasized the gift of time that pretty much everyone would have had: whether or not they seized the moment and made use of this truly priceless gift would only be known to each person, but it has been a rare opportunity for many people actually to do or work on all those things they have wanted to do but could never get around to it. Hence the CV episode as a ROUND TUIT MOMENT :)

Glenn tells us about how he is an animist (to which I responded, 'I, too, am an animist.') and that he has a problem with the mainstream scientific community's classification of viruses as non-living things. I shared that to my knowledge, the belief is that viruses are kind of on the border of living and non-living, that they are essentially genetic information, RNA or DNA with 'command and control' capabilities once they have found their way into cellular nuclei. Glenn talks about the importance of viruses in coral reef communities, which is very interesting as we don't normally think of viruses in aquatic environments. Like bacteria, however, viruses are probably everywhere, and many if not most of them doing things other than creating disease...helping to keep us healthy or more likely, doing things that could not possibly understand.



TYPES OF VIRUSES

We then talk a bit about nitrogen...it's abundance, obscurity and essentialness for life...and it's renowned effects on divers...'the bends' and the 'rapture of the deep' or nitrogen narcosis. Glenn said that he actually witnessed a diver remove his breathing apparatus and offer it to a fish. I asked him if this happened to be Mr. Limpett, or if he had ever seen any sea-monsters while 'under the influence.' He said no, adding that he had however had facial numbness that prevented him from knowing if his regulator was in place...and that the psychological effects of nitrogen narcosis are actually appealing if not addictive for many divers. Research chemist and planetary catastrophism writer Frederic Jeuneman* speculated that humanity might be in a state of chronic low-level nitrogen narcosis due to its high concentration in the air we breathe, comprising well over 70%...about the same proportion as ocean to land surface of Mother Earth.


*  Jeuneman also speculated that 'radio decay rates are not as constant as previously thought, nor are they immune to environmental influences. And this could mean that the atomic clocks are reset during some global disaster...'


WADE DOAK AND FRIEND


ONE OF WADE'S MANY FANTASTIC BOOKS


Wade Doak was to me the 'Jacques Cousteau' of New Zealand...an avid marine biologist, underwater photographer, lover of ohana moana (Hawai'ian for 'ocean family'), author, activist, educator and well-loved personality. Wade may not have been quite as high-profile as Cousteau, but his work and contributions equally if not even more significant in terms of our understanding who Mother Ocean is and who her children are.

Unlike Cousteau, Doak did not have a military or naval background, but they both probably let off their fair share of underwater explosives...Cousteau maybe to blow up some enemy subs and Doak to blast treasure-laden ship-wrecks to smithereens!


Wade and I first got in touch in the mid-90's. I had been corresponding with South African radio-astronomer Gerrit Verschuur, who had expressed interest in Dr. John Lilly's dolphin communication group, with whom I worked in 1980-81. He put me in touch with Wade, and we began a several year correspondence, writing letters before the days of email, about his Project Interlock based in Marathon Key, Florida and exchanging ideas on cetacean communication and 'intelligence.'




When I first arrived to New Zealand in February 2000, Wade is the only person I 'knew' and he and his wife Jan had me to come visit for a couple days. This was my initial introduction to the New Zealand bush. Wade and I stood there in the lush forest where his home is located at Ngunguru, New Zealand, as he told me that a lot of visitors have reactions of fear or uneasiness in this wild country, but that I seemed perfectly at ease. I was...I was in my element only on the opposite side of the world...and I wasn't particularly on guard for dangerous reptiles or predatory carnivores. 

I did wonder about the yellow poison dispensers nailed to the sides of some of his trees. Wade then gave me my introduction to 1080. This was a comprehensive and legendary exposition which I have on video that I will be digitizing upon my return to New Zealand. I came out of it unsure as to whether or not he was in favour of it, but I had to assume that he must have been or else it wouldn't be on his trees. This was to kill the evil possums...and this was the year 2000.


1080 was always in the back of my mind as I came to know Aotearoa over the next few years but in 2009 it came fully onto my radar with the production of the Graf brothers' brilliant documentary 'Poisoning Paradise'. In response to this I created my Rachels-Carson-of-Today blog and went to the next level with 1080 and bio-cide awareness, activism and education, where I remain today, despite its derailment from the public radar in the wake of 'persisting social crises' not only in Aotearoa but the world at large.


I never got to ask Wade how much he knew about the Dow chemical facility at New Plymouth that manufactured dioxin and whose effulgent into the ocean may be responsible for genetic deterioration and impending demise of New Zealand's endemic and magical small dolphin called Maui's.

Glenn shares some story about his relationship with Wade, which was life-long:  Wade's adventures and books inspired the young Glenn to become an oceanic adventurer.

Wade authored many books and has an established reputation as a very good writer. He also did heaps of underwater photography, both still and video. When I visited them we sat down and watched some of his footage of schools of fish...he particularly liked listening to my music as he commented that it seemed to go well with his underwater footage.


When I started going On the Brink radio in 2012 I tried to contact Wade to get him to do an interview, but to no avail. Apparently, according to Glenn, he may have found association with someone like me to be detrimental to his mainstream conservative image. I asked Glenn if he and Wade ever talked about telepathic communication with cetaceans, and he said yes, they discussed this many times, and that Wade and Jan both had numerous experiences along these lines, but that Doak was a bit reluctant to talk about this kind of thing for fear of being type-cast or marginalized as a 'fringe dweller' or worse a 'hippy.' I found this to be sad and unfortunate, because we discussed telepathy quite a lot in our early correspondences, and acknowledgement of these forms of non-sensory information transfer is crucial to any genuine attempt to understand and communicate with...or be communicated with...the cetacean family as a whole.

ONE OF FRANK'S BOOKS


"Frank Robson developed an understanding of whale strandings that still shapes the management of these events. The theory of the ‘key whale’, whose difficulties and distress calls are thought to trigger a mass stranding, was conceived by him. He stressed the need to keep beached whales cool, and to maintain the social cohesion of the group when re-floating a stranded pod. His work was motivated and guided by his conviction that telepathic communication is possible between people and whales."


Glenn and I talk a bit about Frank Robson, another lesser-known New Zealander who was known for his telepathic connection not only with whales and dolphins, but with other life-forms as well.

Glenn then told me about Roger Grace, another legendary fellow marine biologist and underwater photographer. I still don't know how I've managed to go over 20 years of comprehensively getting to know all-things-Aotearoa and yet never heard of Roger Grace until Glenn mentioned him last week.

All marine biologists, underwater photographers, lovers of ohana moana and those enraptured by the deep have different experiences, different perspectives, different foci of clarity and blind-spots, and may be on different pages...but we are all in the same book and have one thing in common:  water as kinship.


This is a theme I have talked about many times and my understanding is on-going. Water IS the basis of life as we know her and maybe beyond that, which might seem a bit metaphysical to some, as Glenn likes to say, the Russian researcher V. I. Vernadsky (of whom Jose Arguelles was a big fan) said that 'life is animated water.' Good one eh?  I like that.

Much food for thought. Water we now know...or at least are told by mainstream astro-biologists and space scientists that water is quite abundant in the solar system, being found on every planet and I believe almost every moon in the solar system except on Venus. We know that water is probably the most singularly unique substance from an electro-chemical perspective, its hydrogen bonds and bonding angle enabling its range of amazing properties. Any contiguous body of water functions as one huge macro-molecule and also as a liquid crystal.

Beings who live in water full-time, especially Mother Ocean, and who have evolved highly complex neuro-computational hard- and software...the whales and dolphins...would be in a great position to know about a very wide spectrum of processes and events happening not only on and within Mothers Ocean and Earth but within the realm of the heliocosm and beyond...multi-dimensional information that I constantly attune to and transceive...and try to share as much as possible.

ON THE BRINK RADIO #321:  THE ELECTROMAGNETIC UNIVERSE - CURRENT ISSUES AND SHOCKING ANOMALIES


This week's show is about the electromagnetic spectrum and specifically what we call 'electricity'...the sea of vibrational energies in which we live and the subset that we have channeled to do 'our' bidding, or so we think, but more likely we are doing its.

We really don't know what electricity actually is. Sure it is described as the 'flow of electrons' in conducting substances and as one of the two complementary aspects of one what mainstream science tells us are the four fundamental 'forces of nature':  electro-magnetism, gravity, and strong and weak nuclear.


JAMES CLERK MAXWELL

James Clerk Maxwell showed that electricity and magnetism are inseparable: any electric current generates a magnetic field and any magnetic field generates electric currents.

But we don't really know what...or who...any of these 'forces' actually are. The ancient Egyptians didn't have a word/hieroglyph for 'electricity' so I used their symbol for 'lightning' in a painting I did in 2002.

What we call electricity could just as easily...or rationally or logically...be a 'being' or 'intelligence' or 'field' of something that is totally beyond our grasp. Given this, might it not have a mind or purpose of its own? How could we possibly know?


NICOLA TESLA

The era of modern electrification is largely the result of the work of one man, Nicola Tesla, who first generated alternating current at his lab near Ames, Colorado, because the lightning there was particularly powerful due to the huge deposits of gold ore. I lived in the nearby ski town of Telluride, whose name is a form of gold ore. The name itself implies electrical conductance in the Earth. Tesla claimed to have 'scried from the ether' many of his concepts and ideas, and wrote of experiencing the presence of some kind of 'intelligence' that he detected in the oscillations of some kind of apparatus he had constructed.
THE OUTER LIMITS 'GALAXY BEING'

As I see it, more than any other single person, Tesla is responsible for the current, pardon the pun, global ecological and health issues resulting from the electrification of Mother Earth.

Not only has alternating current facilitated the development of wireless transmission of information and energy, but also the plethora of all things computerized and AI, which themselves have enabled the metastasis of mega-technology in all its myriad manifestations. 

And the pervasive but no-longer-new paradigm of geo-physical warfare and ENMOD, or 'environmental modification' is more or less due solely to ideas and work that Tesla undertook...which were looked on as useless science-fiction until people like Gordon J.F. MacDonald and Bernard Eastlund realized that these concepts could be used to create the most sophisticated weapons system ever conceived, voila H.A.A.R.P. and its numerous daughter off-spring ionospheric heaters.

In the same way that naturally occurring uranium in topsoil all over the Earth is essential for the existence of life, but whose weaponized forms represent pervasive mutagenic threats to all life-forms...the natural electrical currents that make life possible, not only at the cellular and physiological levels of membrane permeability and nerve transmissions but even at the level of atoms and molecules...for in reality, all chemical reactions are electrical in nature...have been 'harnessed', amplified and distorted into monstrous force-fields, enveloping the Earth's biosphere and the entire 'civilized' environment and exerting known and unknown adverse effects on our family of life.

Planetary electrification conjoins with synthetic radio-nuclides, military-industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals and genetically-modified organisms and substances to form the 'family' of carcinogenic and mutagenic influences that our obsession with 'progress' has given us. Genetic toxicologist Arnold Lehmann, a colleague of Rachel Carson, told us in the early 60's that in order truly to understand what all this stuff was doing to us, that we would need to study at least 25 generations of people. We of today are only the third generation to live since the inception of anthropogenic mutagens:  we very much ARE the experiment.

The presence or availability of artificial electricity is as synonymous with 'civilization' as telephones, automobiles, and flush toilets. Like 'civilization' itself, however, artificial electricity is a very recent innovation in the life-span of modern humanity, as is humanity in the life-span of life herself.

Just as we in our current expression could be seen as a mutation of Earth's life-process, or even a kind of 'macro-virus' or 'world-eater' from the perspective of non-human life...as opposed to the 'crown of creation' or 'pinnacle of intelligence' according to our own myriad exhibitions of species megalomania...artificial electricity could become unnecessary or even unwanted as life spirals around to the next level of what it really means to be here.

An understanding of electricity is paramount:  it's presence at all levels of physical reality, it's essential function in life-forms, it's primary status as a 'force of nature', and most importantly for the present moment, it's destructive health and ecological effects across the spectrum of species, genera and kingdoms.

The most urgent enhanced understanding of electricity is in the negative health and ecological effects, which almost without exception, the vast majority of all humans are being exposed to in various ways. Vast amounts of sound and credible research have been done in may related fields.

All humans who 'have' electricity are exposed to the oscillating fields of the alternating current flowing through our homes and other places. These exert negative or disruptive effects simply through their frequencies. If you live or spend time near electrical transformers or sub-stations or close to high-tension power-lines, you are exposed to another level of harmful effects due to the power levels of the emanations. Ingesting too much artificial light is not good for the brain and over-all physiology.

Even before the advent of mobile phones and wi-fi, we were all already living in a sea of electromagnetic transmissions from radio and television broadcasting, from ground-based as well as satellite transceivers.

UNDERSTANDING DESTRUCTIVE HEALTH AND ECOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF EMR

Like other mutagenic influences, electromagnetic emanations don't affect everyone in the same ways. Some people, particularly women and children may be hyper-sensitive, and others may be relatively insensitive. Just because you may not 'feel' or notice harmful energies in no way means that you aren't being adversely affected; and like radio-logical or chemical exposure, harmful effects may not even show up for years or may even express in your off-spring. Even then, no 'proof' would exist. We ARE the experiment and all this stuff is in the realm of the totally unknown.

In 2012 James Russell came out with what I consider to be a brilliant documentary film called Resonance:  Beings of Frequency, which provides an excellent basic introduction to electromagnetism in a mildly scientific way, and devotes a lot of time to exposing the global telecommunications industry.

An organization called Bioinitiative consists of several dozen bio-medical and health researchers and practitioners who are not employed by the telecommunications industry = they are sharing true and valid information. Many of these people used to be employed by telecom but left or were made redundant for insisting on the truth being known.

Their reports are gold-mines of leading-edge research describing the full-spectrum of health hazards from EMR with particular emphasis on microwaves.


BIOEFFECTS ARE CLEARLY ESTABLISHED

'Bio-effects are clearly established and occur at very low levels of exposure to electromagnetic fields and radio-frequency radiation. Bio-effects can occur in the first few minutes at levels associated with cell and cordless phone use. Bio-effects can also occur from just minutes of exposure to mobile phone masts (cell towers), WI-FI, and wireless utility ‘smart’ meters that produce whole-body exposure. Chronic base station level exposures can result in illness.

BIO-EFFECTS WITH CHRONIC EXPOSURES CAN REASONABLY BE PRESUMED TO RESULT IN ADVERSE HEALTH EFFECTS

Many of these bio-effects can reasonably be presumed to result in adverse health effects if the exposures are prolonged or chronic. This is because they interfere with normal body processes (disrupt homeostasis), prevent the body from healing damaged DNA, produce immune system imbalances, metabolic disruption and lower resilience to disease across multiple pathways. Essential body processes can eventually be disabled by incessant external stresses (from system-wide electrophysiological interference) and lead to pervasive impairment of metabolic and reproductive functions.'
Barrie Trower was an electronic warfare specialist in the British military until he realized the gravity of the dangers and for many years has been researching and reporting on adverse effects of EMR as well as inside information on how these weapons systems are deployed.





" 'Wi Fi should be wiped out of schools at a stroke today to protect all the children,' he states.  I suspect he would also call into question the so-called 'safety testing' my son’s school district has ordered:   'A lot of people make the mistake in believing that children are small adults. And unlike medication—there you have an adult dose and a children’s dose–with microwaves there is the adult dose, but there is no known safe dose of microwave safe radiation anywhere in the world published for a child.'  He says the schools are using “'ntentional ignorance. . . They will only look at and believe the research they want to. They will not acknowledge most of the real research and most of the risks.  There is such a pressure and hype to get this technology.'"

"When I first began to speak and write about microwave radiation in 1996, the telecommunications industry had just embarked on an ambitious plan to place a cell phone in the hands of every man, woman and child on earth—and to dot our world with so many broadcast antennas that those phones would work in every home and every office, on every street, in every country, on the highest mountain and in the deepest valley, on every lake, in every national park, wilderness area and wildlife refuge, without exception. Fleets of new satellites were also on drawing boards, with the goal of enabling cell phones and wireless computers to work even in mid-ocean and Antarctica. Levels of microwave radiation were going to rise a hundred- to a million-fold, everywhere on earth, virtually overnight. 

Sarah Benson wrote to me from Australia urging me to help organize a global opposition. Sarah worked for Lyn Allison, a member of the Australian Senate, and had been instrumental in making electromagnetic radiation a political issue in Australia. She was also a member of our growing network of individuals whose health was already seriously affected by electromagnetic fields (EMFs) from computers, power lines and broadcast towers, and from the chips and digital circuitry that were finding their way into automobiles, telephones, clocks, entertainment centers and virtually everything else in our lives. Previously most of us had been ordinary people working at regular jobs, but a certain kind of pollution had increased, especially in newly computerized workplaces, and like the canaries that were once placed in coal mines, we happened to be the first ones to succumb. Since, officially, EMFs were not thought to cause illnesses, most doctors were of no help, so we banded together and shared information. The prospect of microwave antennas placed every couple of miles throughout the world terrified us. It was going to be like putting the earth inside a computer—and there was going to be no escape."


And this was from 25 years ago. Despite the EPA's acknowledgement that multiple studies 'suggest but do not prove' a causal link between EMR in general and carcinogenesis, Firstenberg lost his lawsuit against his neighbour for irradiating him with her home wireless technologies, but has gone on to spearhead the 5G SPACE APPEAL. I have tried to contact him about doing an interview. When he didn't reply to an email I rang him in New Mexico. He only talked for a couple minutes as he told me I was ringing from a mobile...I was, that is my only option as I cannot have a land-line living on the road. He said 'I can't do that...' and hung up, but shared his email address. I have had no response to my email. Maybe I'll ring him from a land-line?




"Firstenberg's evidence claiming electromagnetic fields cause harmful medical symptoms is 'not generally accepted and is not reported in journals that have received recognition as prestigious, accepted scientific journals,' the order states, pointing out that the World Health Organization concluded the symptoms stemming from EMS may caused by 'pre-existing psychiatric conditions' as well as 'stress reactions as a result of worrying about believed EMF health effects, rather than EMF exposure.'




"In conclusion, the several studies showing leukemia, lymphoma and cancer of the nervous system in children exposed to magnetic fields from residential 60 Hz electrical power distribution systems, supported by similar findings in adults in several occupational studies also involving electrical power frequency exposures, show a consistent pattern of response that suggests, but does not prove, a causal link. Frequency components higher than 60 Hz cannot be ruled out as contributing factors. Evidence from a large number of biological test systems shows that these fields induce biological effects that are consistent with several possible mechanisms of carcinogenesis. However, none of these processes has been experimentally linked to the induction of tumors, either in animals or humans, by EMFs. The particular aspects of exposure to the EMFs that cause these events are not known."
     5G SPACE APPEAL
"Telecommunications companies worldwide, with the support of governments, are poised within the next two years to roll out the fifth-generation wireless network (5G). This is set to deliver what is acknowledged to be unprecedented societal change on a global scale. We will have 'smart' homes, 'smart' businesses, 'smart' highways, 'smart' cities and self-driving cars. Virtually everything we own and buy, from refrigerators and washing machines to milk cartons, hairbrushes and infants’ diapers, will contain antennas and microchips and will be connected wirelessly to the Internet. Every person on Earth will have instant access to super-high-speed, low-latency wireless communications from any point on the planet, even in rainforests, mid-ocean and the Antarctic.
What is not widely acknowledged is that this will also result in unprecedented environmental change on a global scale. The planned density of radio frequency transmitters is impossible to envisage. In addition to millions of new 5G base stations on Earth and 20,000 new satellites in space, 200 billion transmitting objects, according to estimates, will be part of the Internet of Things by 2020, and one trillion objects a few years later. Commercial 5G at lower frequencies and slower speeds was deployed in Qatar, Finland and Estonia in mid-2018. The rollout of 5G at extremely high (millimetre wave) frequencies is planned to begin at the end of 2018.
Despite widespread denial, the evidence that radio frequency (RF) radiation is harmful to life is already overwhelming. The accumulated clinical evidence of sick and injured human beings, experimental evidence of damage to DNA, cells and organ systems in a wide variety of plants and animals, and epidemiological evidence that the major diseases of modern civilization—cancer, heart disease and diabetes—are in large part caused by electromagnetic pollution, forms a literature base of well over 10,000 peer-reviewed studies.
If the telecommunications industry’s plans for 5G come to fruition, no person, no animal, no bird, no insect and no plant on Earth will be able to avoid exposure, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to levels of RF radiation that are tens to hundreds of times greater than what exists today, without any possibility of escape anywhere on the planet. These 5G plans threaten to provoke serious, irreversible effects on humans and permanent damage to all of the Earth’s ecosystems.
Immediate measures must be taken to protect humanity and the environment, in accordance with ethical imperatives and international agreements."

"Related research by Begich and Manning uncovered bizarre schemes. For example, Air Force documents revealed that a system had been developed for manipulating and disturbing human mental processes through pulsed radio-frequency radiation (the stuff of HAARP) over large geographical areas. 

The most telling material about this technology came from writings of Zbigniew Brzezinski (former National Security Advisory to U.S. President Carter) and J.F. MacDonald (science advisor to U.S. President Johnson and a professor of Geophysics at UCLA), as they wrote about use of power-beaming transmitters for geophysical and environmental warfare. The documents showed how these effects might be caused, and the negative effects on human heath and thinking. The mental-disruption possibilities for HAARP are the most disturbing.


More than 40 pages of the book, with dozens of footnotes, chronicle the work of Harvard professors, military planners and scientists as they plan and test this use of the electromagnetic technology. For example, one of the papers describing this use was from the International Red Cross in Geneva. It even gave the frequency ranges where these effects could occur -- the same ranges which HAARP is capable of broadcasting. The following statement was made more than twenty-five years ago in a book by Brzezinski which he wrote while a professor at Columbia University: 'Political strategists are tempted to exploit research on the brain and human behavior.' 


Geophysicist Gordon J.F. MacDonald, a specialist in problems of warfare, says 'accurately-timed, artificially-excited electronic strokes could lead to a pattern of oscillations that produce relatively high power levels over certain regions of the earth ... in this way one could develop a system that would seriously impair the brain performance of very large populations in selected regions over an extended period... no matter how deeply disturbing the thought of using the environment to manipulate behavior for national advantages, to some, the technology permitting such use will very probably develop within the next few decades.' 


In 1966, MacDonald was a member of the President's Science Advisory Committee and later a member of the President's Council on Environmental Quality. He published papers on the use of environmental control technologies for military purposes. The most profound comment he made as a geophysicist was, 'the key to geophysical warfare is the identification of environmental instabilities to which the addition of a small amount of energy would release vastly greater amounts of energy.' 


While yesterday's geophysicists predicted today's advances, are HAARP program managers delivering on the vision? The geophysicists recognized that adding energy to the environmental soup could have large effects. However, humankind has already added substantial amounts of electromagnetic energy into our environment without understanding what might constitute critical mass. The book by Begich and Manning raises questions. Have these additions been without effect, or is there a cumulative amount beyond which irreparable damage can be done? ! Is HAARP another step in a journey from which we cannot turn back? ! Are we about to embark on another energy experiment which unleashes another set of demons from Pandora's box?


As early as 1970, Zbigniew Brzezinski predicted a ;more controlled and directed society; would gradually appear, linked to technology. This society would be dominated by an elite group which impresses voters by allegedly superior scientific know-how. Angels Don't Play This HAARP further quotes Brzezinski: ;Unhindered by the restraints of traditional liberal values, this elite would not hesitate to achieve its political ends by using the latest modern techniques for influencing public behavior and keeping society under close surveillance and control. Technical and scientific momentum would then feed on the situation it exploits, Brzezinski predicted. His forecasts proved accurate.


Today, a number of new tools for the 'elite' are emerging, and the temptation to use them increases steadily. The policies to permit the tools to be used are already in place. How could the United States be changed, bit by bit, into the predicted highly-controlled techno-society? Among the 'steppingstones' Brzezinski expected were persisting social crises and use of the mass media to gain the public's confidence."

"Intelligence and surveillance operations now reach far beyond recording phone calls and emails and taking photos from space. Along with the conductive metals and polymers and biological filtering down from chemtrails, we are also inhaling and ingesting trillions of micro-sensors and microprocessors ('nanobots') that can be communicated with and programmed remotely, all the way past the blood brain barrier into our brains and even our DNA.
Which segues to the book I am now writing on the Space Fence, the military’s vision of a permanent artificial ionospheric belt around the planet for permanent C4 communications. It began with Project West Ford in May 1963 when the US Air Force launched 480 million tiny copper needles to create a conductive ring around the Earth. Designed to be half the wavelength of 8000 MHz microwaves, the needles formed a dipole belt 15 kilometers wide and 30 kilometers thick able to orbit the Earth until they dispersed and communications again became undependable. The West Ford spacecraft and random copper dipoles are still orbiting up there, along with the debris of other military and commercial dreams, including the 1958 Vanguard I satellite.
With an ionized lower atmosphere and an entire synchronized ground-based / space-based electromagnetic network in place, the Space Fence dream is being resurrected. According to NASA, however, spending $3.3 billion for this resurrection is all about detecting and tracking (not collecting) space debris objects now numbering 500,000. The first system to attempt tracking the debris was the US Navy’s NAVSPASUR in 1961, followed by the Air Force Space Surveillance System (AFSSS). Apparently, the new Space Fence has the capability of detecting objects just four inches in size, thanks to the largest phased array radars ever built (like PAVE PAWS).
I highly doubt that $3.3 billion is just about tracking garbage. Every sounding rocket that surges above the Earth and into space pulls a wake of heavy metals behind it - metals consolidating into a Saturn-like belt orbiting our fragile planet."

"The company estimates that it will be selling chips capable of tracking a wearer’s live vital signs in a little more than a year, but a few other developments will come first. McMullan hopes that people will soon consider storing their medical information on encrypted RFID chips, and the group is also working on a way to make GPS-enabled chips available as an option for families to track relatives suffering from severe dementia—another use for the chips that poses both obvious benefits and legitimate concerns.
'There’s an interest but also a controversy with the actual GPS tracking,' says Luis Martinez, a preventative-medicine specialist in San Juan who has worked with McMullan on chip development since before last year’s media frenzy. 'A lot of parents will feel actually safe if they can track real-time where their children are, given abductions, child trafficking, and all that.' But, he says, there are even more use cases: 'Other populations … are being looked at for different reasons: law enforcement, or say you could use a GPS chip to identify registered sex offenders. I think it’ll be a case-by-case basis where different countries or different societies will decide.'
At the same time as the technology is becoming more powerful, people are becoming more comfortable with the notion of implantables."

THE DANGERS OF ARTIFICIAL LIGHT 
'Light pollution' is far more of a worry than carbon dioxide. Not only does the astronomical quantity of artificially created and nocturnally emitted photons interfere with optical astronomy, both at the individual and professional/scientific levels, it, as you mention, severely disrupts the normal circadian rhythms of a wide spectrum of plants and animals.

A brilliant look into the ingestion of artificial light is in Jerry Mander's book Four Arguments for the Elimination of Television. We literally 'ingest' light through our eyes primarily but also through our skin. Television screens and computer monitors are profound sources of artificial light being absorbed into human CNS's, on top of the 'light pollution' and artificial nocturnal luminescence from incandescent and fluorescent lighting at the domestic, civil and industrial levels. Probably the most important work on the health effects of artificial light have been done by Dr. John Ott. Mander talks about Ott extensively in his book, which I highly recommend. Dr. Ott also pioneered some of the earliest time-lapse photography showing how plants and flowers grow and respond to light. Ultimately, we have Nicola Tesla to thank for the existence of artificial light, because without the ubiquitous AC grid, none of it would exist.

My former partner Liesbet Verstraeten and I lived at a remote seaside property on Flinders Island, Tasmania in the winter-spring of 2011 with almost zero electricity. Sure we had battery-powered head torches and photo gear. We had a land-line but no mobile phones. We drove to town about once a week or so to get food that we couldn't produce on our own, to charge up batteries and go on-line. But we survived and even thrived beautifully the whole four months:  rather than feeling constrained or goddess-forbid inconvenienced by the lack of AC, we began to notice that the residual accumulated vibrations from being in 'civilization' died down and we became increasingly sensitized to the subtle energies of nature. Sounds like the ocean, the wind in the she-oaks, the songs of birds, the buzzing of bees became not only more audible but we were able to feel or sense directly the myriad voices of the devas and ancestors of the dream-time kingdoms of life.

The absence of alternating current and microwaves allowed us to become true human beings:  finely-tuned and exquisitely sensitive antennae/transducers of energy/information/consciousness. We became more highly aware of being the 'ultimate technology.'

Dare we consider other, non-human perspectives on our oxymoronic 'folly' and impending demise: what if Mother Earth was very sad, even heart-broken that one of her youngest children whom she has loved dearly fell into a schizophrenic psychosis and went on a global murdering spree that is not yet finished? What if the Great Spirit was equally sad and disappointed with how we have wilfully chosen to use our sacred powers of creativity and manifestation? What about all the untold numbers of life-forms who have suffered and died mercilessly at the hand of 'man, the wise', victims of a 'superior intelligence'? What if an alien silicon-based entity is laughing at how successfully it subverted Mother Earth's life process for its own ends using us as its primary tool?
A common-sense definition of karma is 'what comes around, goes around.' Sounds like a good description of a comet's orbit to me. What we do to the Earth, we do to ourselves. We are killing the Earth and ourselves at the same time. We are probably incapable of understanding the true spiritual consequences of our war on life but suffice it to say that will probably come to understand a lot more of it before it's all said and done."
