SPACESHIP EARTH

"We travel together, passengers on a little spaceship, dependent upon its vulnerable reserves of air and soil, all committed for our safety to its security and peace; preserved from annihilation only by the care, the work, and, I will say, the love we give our fragile craft. We cannot maintain it half fortunate, half miserable, half confident, half despairing, half slave to the ancient enemies of man, half free in a liberation of resources undreamed of until this day. No craft, no crew can travel safely with such vast contradictions. On their resolution depends the survival of us all."

'COLLAPSE OF THE PACIFIC ECO-SYSTEM' DR. CHRIS BUSBY

'COLLAPSE OF PACIFIC OCEAN ECO-SYSTEM'  DR. CHRIS BUSBY

"We can certainly see the collapse of the Pacific biota, the collapse of the Pacific eco-system...and that is truly terrifying."

Dr. Chris Busby and his Russian compatriot Dr. Alexey Yablokov are THE top AND most highly respected researchers/educators for 'all things nuclear' in the world of today. They do NOT have hidden agendas of marginalizing the effects of Chernobyl, Fukushima, and DU, nor do they engage in exaggerated or sensationalized claims of horror. What they share in this article and interview IS terrifying because it's coming from THEM.

'We've got a population collapse all across the Pacific. My colleague Alexi Yablokov, who's a population biologist, I was with him in Russia recently talking about this issue. The problem is that you can tip an entire ecological system over the edge. It's absolutely terrifying because so many people depend on the Pacific ocean for their food supply. Fukushima is a lot uranium, and a lot of plutonium, of course, that was converted as a result of the explosions into small particles, into these nano-particles. We know that this is the case because we've measured them in car filters, and in people's shows and so on...The basis of the sea-life - the plankton - everything depends on that. The particles would get into the larger animals and it would go up the food chain....and bio-accumulate as hot particles. This would really explain the collapse. It would also explain the genetic effects in the higher mammals.

After Fukushima the amount of dead creatures that reached the bottom suddenly accelerated up to an enormously high level...I think that it must be the uranium...coming out in the form of nano-particles and spreading into the ocean and then being carried by the plankton. It's getting into some of these micro-organisms in the ocean and going up the food chain.

But what certainly we can see is the effect of something - we can certainly see the collapse of the Pacific biota, the collapse of the Pacific eco-system...and that is truly terrifying."
